Wool & Sheep Festival: Sunday, October 21, 2012
Each October Harlem Needle Arts leads a caravan of some 50 novices and experienced needle art constructionists to the fair grounds of Dutch County to engage in the vast world of fiber art through the manipulation of threads. As defined by Harlem Needle Arts threads, as fiber, represents the creation of textile with thread, yarn, fleece, roving, etc. In some cases the trip lends a totally new approach to how artists develop and expand their craft. No longer just a conventional creator of needle art, the introduction to variety of yarns, techniques and tools grows the experience for all. The trip is also great as a family day out to explore the origin of fibers.
