Finding her passion for knitting and crochet in 2006, Surinam born and Amsterdam native Nancy Ricci is enamored by the medium of yarn. With a background in marketing and economics, Nancy turned her passion into a career and for the past four years has been producing knitwear designs and patterns for some of the industries’ most notable companies including cashmere company Jade Sapphire and along with work which has been published in Knit Purl Magazine, Malabrigo Book #8 and her self-published designs.

Additionally, Nancy is a master knitting teacher and team member of Knitty City in New York.

The art of machine quilting allows you the free motion of creating your own quilting designs.  Learn how to manipulate your sewing machine and take quilting to the next level.

PREREQUISITE

  • Participants MUST bring and have basic knowledge their own sewing machine
  • Sewing machine should have ONE of the following: Free motion foot, or  quilting foot or darning foot

Embellishing with Stitches –  Embroidery and Beyond with designer Sahara Briscoe

This workshop will teach the basic but most popular embroidery stitches, to use for decoration, mending and making pictures. Students will learn the process of executing a design on cloth: planning, material and stitch selection and embroidery methods–sewing vs stabbing–and caring for their finished item.  Supplies included.
