The collections of Dr. Henry Drewal
Transforming the use of thread and textile, each artists gives life to their quilts as they shape the stories through historical references, cultural connections, social justice, identity and traditions to honor the Black experience at home and abroad. The exhibit unpacks the diversity of African American culture through the influences of rich geometric patterns, embellishments and spirituality.
